Formally established in 1999, it provides free home service for the elderly with three disabilities (disability, dependence and dementia). At present, there are about 400 community angel stations in Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu, serving nearly 30,000 vulnerable elders. Under the principle of making up for deficiencies, provide quality services for the elderly in the community. Provide professional care and establish a dignified and respectful model of care.
Services provided include:
1. New Year care
Every three festivals (New Year, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival) give gifts to the elders and make New Year greetings.
2. Armor service
For elderly or disabled (visually impaired, physically impaired) elders, nail cleaning services are carried out, trimmed and nails polished.
3. Soak in the original bed
Since the elders cannot enjoy complete and comfortable body cleansing while staying in bed, we provide bathing services for the elders in the original bed to promote blood circulation and improve skin conditions.
4. Housekeeping
Provide simple housekeeping and cleaning services for the elderly, such as sweeping and mopping.
5. Accompany the doctor
Due to the mobility of the elders or the difficulty of transportation to the medical center, the elders will be transported by vehicle and accompanied to seek medical treatment.
6. Care visits
Through chat care, we care about the medication status, meal status, physiological condition, recent special events in life, and reminders of life care of the elderly, so as to achieve the purpose of caring and companionship.
7. Acting as an agent for general affairs and welfare
Assist the elders in handling life affairs, refer resources to solve the elderly's environmental repair and life care problems.
